Meet our CEO
I’m Shalaw Meman, originally from Erbil, Kurdistan, and proudly raised in Portland, Oregon. I'm a licensed CPA and have earned my MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. With over a decade of experience in public and corporate accounting, I've cultivated a diverse skill set that spans audits and consultations for small- to enterprise-sized companies. My early career in public accounting allowed me to work with clients in various dynamic sectors, including venture capital, private equity, technology, and real estate.
In the second half of my career, I had the privilege of contributing to the remarkable journey of an early-stage start-up as it scaled into a multinational unicorn. I played a pivotal role in laying the groundwork for financial and operational success, driving growth, and enhancing efficiency across the organization. Leading the company through its first financial statement audit and implementing robust controls demonstrated my ability to navigate complex financial landscapes while ensuring compliance. Additionally, I spearheaded efforts that culminated in a successful funding rounds, showcasing my strategic acumen in securing capital and positioning the company for sustained growth.
